DL-Panthenol is also known as ‘Vitamin B5” (Pro-vitamin B5) or Panthenol. It is the additive for all hair care formulations. The white powder is 100 % active (some Panthenol liquids are only 50 % active which means you need to use double the amount) and is water soluble and easily dissolves in cold or hot water.
Pro-Vitamin B5 (DL Panthenol), is a stable mix of d-Panthenol and L-Panthenol. Our body readily absorbs dl-Panthenol via the skin. It then converts d-Panthenol to Pantheric Acid (which is Vitamin B5) which is constituent of healthy hair.
